Eric Hadar • Chairman & CEO
Eric Hadar is a business leader, investor, and philanthropist. In 1993 he founded Allied Partners, a privately-held real estate investment company headquartered in NYC, with offices in Miami. Allied purchased RoseTerra in September 2017.
Eric is well known for unique investments where he applies highly creative strategies to solving complex challenges, adding value in all market environments. Allied has consistently produced positive returns while prioritizing downside protection over risk, an approach that has consistently generated returns well in excess of the overall market.
Born in Orange, NJ, and raised in NYC, Hadar received his bachelor’s degree with highest honors from Hobart College in 1986 and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in 1989. After graduation and prior to founding Allied Partners, Eric worked for Sonnenblick-Goldman Company in NYC, a national real estate investment bank.
Howard Slavin • President
Howard Slavin brings three decades of experience in property management to RoseTerra. Howard is also the Chief Operating Officer of Allied Partners, the parent of RoseTerra, which he rejoined in January 2016. For the previous 10 years he was Senior Vice President–Director of Asset Management at L&L Holding Company overseeing a 6 million square foot portfolio of major New York City office buildings. Prior to joining L&L Howard served as COO for Allied Partners responsible for the profitability of a property and loan portfolio encompassing more than 20 properties and valued at more than $1.8 billion.
His three-decade real estate career also includes a position at West World Holding, a real estate investment trust, where his responsibilities included acquisitions, asset management and property management.
He holds a BS in Finance from Boston University and an MS in Real Estate Investment and Development from New York University.
Mark Motley • Executive Vice President
Mark A. Motley is Executive Vice President of RoseTerra Management. Mark focuses his efforts on cooperatives, condos and cond-ops, overseeing a portfolio of approximately 35 buildings totaling 8,600 units.
Mark has extensive professional experience in opening new residences, capital improvement projects, budget development, and implementation. He also has deep knowledge of residential marketing, leasing, and sales. Mark retains property managers and other building personnel and regularly oversees the development of policy procedures for luxury residential buildings.
Mark joined Rose Associates in 1992 after serving three years as director of sales and marketing for Mayfair Associates, LLC, the developer of Three Lincoln Center, a 347-unit residential condominium located at 160 West 66th Street.
Mark started his real estate career with the Security Trust and Guarantee Title Company, and has significant experience and knowledge in many areas of real estate management. He also worked for the Gerald Guterman Companies and M.J. Raynes, Inc., in Manhattan and Queens specializing in sales, marketing, and management of cooperative conversions and new construction projects.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Montclair State College and a paralegal certificate from Baruch College. He is a licensed New York State real estate broker and a notary public.
Ed Donnelly • Director, SVP Project Management
Edward F. Donnelly manages RoseTerra’s Project Management Department which provides third party owners representative services for our clients.
He provides advisory and executive management oversight on many of the firm’s complex projects. With nearly three decades in project management, construction monitoring, commercial and residential property management, building operations and business management, Ed provides invaluable experience and guidance to the firm's clients, projects and employees.
Edward oversees a team which manages projects including the installation of new energy management systems and cogeneration plants, HVAC system installations, cooling tower installations and boiler conversions, as well as NYSERDA energy efficient and renewable energy projects, upgrades to electrical and emergency power systems, installation of new elevators and façade safety programs related to Local Law 11 and amenity projects.
He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, Building Owners and Managers International and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers.
Russ Heigel • Senior Vice President
As an Account Executive, Senior Vice President, Russell Heigel directly manages five properties and supervises another property. He oversees the operations and administration of four client condominiums, one client cooperative, and one client condop.
Previously, Russell held the position of Associate Director and prior to that Property Manager at Rose Associates. He managed cooperative, condominium, and condo properties.The various properties include both prewar and modern high-rise. At Rose Associates, Russell had been involved with several capital improvement projects as well as budget development and implementation.
Russell joined Rose in September 2003 after serving three years as a Managing Agent for Blue Woods Management Group. He was responsible for a portfolio that included five cooperatives and two rental properties located in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
Russell began his career as an on-site Property Manager with Charles H. Greenthal Management. He was initially assigned to a 375-unit cooperative apartment house with a large commercial component in Manhattan. Later, a second cooperative on Long Island was added.
Russell brings significant experience and knowledge in many areas of real estate management. He has been involved with lobby and hallway renovations, elevator modernizations, and façade and roof repairs.
Russell is also a member of the Residential Management Council of the Real Estate Board of New York where he is the liaison for the firm.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Marist College and an Executive MBA from Hofstra University.
Tom Lazzari • Senior Vice President
Thomas Lazzari is an Account Executive, Senior Vice President at RoseTerra Management since September 2017. In this position Tom is part of the executive team and currently directly oversees a portfolio of five luxury condominiums and cooperative properties; oversees two Account Executives who oversee five properties each; is the lead liaison to accounting staff on property budgets and other financial matters; and manages RoseTerra’s energy management function.
Tom has extensive experience in the management of large residential cooperative and rental properties, including budget and financial planning, staff training, resident-owner communications, administrative and operational functions. He has successfully overseen the completion of major capital improvement programs, union negotiations and arbitration matter’s and ongoing maintenance programs.
Before RoseTerra, Tom was with Rose Associates, Inc., since 2003, where he held the position of Associate Director, with similar responsibilities and the same portfolio of properties brought to RoseTerra.
Prior to joining Rose Associates, Tom served for over five years as General Manager of Lenox Terrace for the Olnick Organization. In this capacity he managed the operational, financial and administrative functions of a development consisting of six residential buildings containing 1,700 units, a parking facility and 35 retail tenants.
Prior to joining the Olnick Organization, Tom served for over 19 years in various positions for Riverbay Corporation, the management company of Co-op City, which consists of 35 residential buildings including 15,000 units, eight garages and 100 retail tenants. His positions included Staff Accountant, Budget Manager, Budget/Finance Director, Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
Tom has his MBA in Accounting from St. John’s University and holds a RAM (Registered Apartment Manager) designation from the ABO, the New York (Association of Builders and Owners).
Steve Leibel • Controller
Steven Leibel has been with RoseTerra Management since September 2017 serving in the role of Vice-President-Controller. Steven is a member of the Executive Team directly responsible for all accounting functions of the entire portfolio of condominiums and cooperatives. Steven leads a dedicated team of two Assistant Controllers, two Accounts Receivable Administrators and two Accounts Payable Administrators.
Steven brings extensive knowledge and experience to RoseTerra Management in the areas of cash management, treasury, budgeting, lease administration, and low-income housing. His expertise with MRI, AvidXchange and ClickPay led to a smooth transition from Rose Associates to RoseTerra Management.
Steven previously served as Associate Director of Business Services at Rose Associates from July 2006 to August 2017.
Steven received his B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University. He recently received his certification in Low Income Housing.
Maggie Nieves-Sosa • Director, Transfers
Maggie Nieves-Sosa is the Director of the Transfer Department for RoseTerra Management. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the department as well as working closely with senior management implementing policies and procedures as they relate to the daily operation of the newly established division.
Maggie began her career in the real estate industry in 1984 with the in-house law firm of MJ Raynes, one of the most notable developers of the 1980s. Over the course of her career she has held positions as both a Real Estate Paralegal and Senior Transfer Agent. She has collaborated with some of the most influential real estate attorneys in New York City on multiple projects. Most notably she was involved with the conversion to cooperative ownership of Lincoln Towers, a large residential high-rise development on New York City’s west side.
In the late 1990s she began her career with Rose Associates, Inc., where she helped to structure and manage the Transfer Department. She worked closely with the residential boards within the Rose Associates portfolio as well as with various sponsors on new construction projects.
During her career she has been a guest speaker for the bar association and has participated in discussion panels for the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY).
She is a graduate of LaGuardia Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
